shadow injection is a powerful non-spheroidal anti-inflammatory drug with fast-acting analgesic and antipyretic properties, it is well absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract, reaching therapeutic levels within 2 hours, its effect lasts approximately twelve hours.

It is characterized by its ability to inhibit cyclooxygenases, precursors in the synthesis of thromboxanes and prostaglandin, this is the most important mediator in the amplification of pain. Dexamethasone suppresses the inflammatory response of traumatized tissue, inhibiting prostaglandin biosynthesis through stabilization of the cell and lysosomal membrane. On the other hand, it maintains the integrity of the capillary cell wall, thereby preventing the extravasation of fluids and plasma proteins into the affected tissue, thus considerably reducing edema.shadow injection

Dose:

Horses: 10 to 20 g (1 or 2 sachets) for 450 kg b.w. up to date
Adult cattle: 10 to 20 g (1 or 2 sachets) per day

When used in non-acute infectious conditions, treatment should be associated with bactericidal antibiotics rather than bacteriostatics.
In general, corticosteroids are contraindicated in viral infections and in late pregnancy, when they can induce labor.

They should also not be administered to animals that are suffering from renal, cardiac and hepatic insufficiency, gastric ulcer and that present hypersensitivity to the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in animals with diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis and those with hematocytological alterations (aplastic anemia, leukopenia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia). Do not apply to newborn animals
